Every Saturday of advent, 5pm - 6-30pm, a get-together to do some preparations, share some stories and traditions and learn some ancient chants.

The lead up to celebrating the birth of Jesus is a time that we call Advent or Little Lent. It is a time of functioning at a slower, more reflective pace, coupled with focusing on moderating our intake of food and external stimuli to focus on our spiritual growth. We also spend the time to prepare for the celebration of Christmas so rather than being exhausted by the time Christmas day comes we are in great anticipation of celebrating and feasting.

The four Saturday nights before Christmas, a few of us families are going to get together to do some preparations, share some stories and traditions and learn some ancient chants.

5pm till 6:30 but stick around longer if you want
Bring a plate to share for dinner.
