Basil Pesto

1 bunch basil
100 grams pine nuts
1 slosh olive oil
2 slurps ume vinegar

Whiz it all in the blender.

Serve with pasta and stir fried veges I use onion, garlic,. sweet potato, zucchini and broccoli, with some fresh tomato stirred in jsut before serving.
Also good as a pizza sauce, or on bread with tomato.

Ume vinegar is pickled plum juice. It is available in health food shops or the Japanese section of some supermarkets. It's well worth getting just for pesto, but tastes good on steamed veges too.
