A basic porridge is oats and water at a 1:2 ratio, eg 1/4 cup oats and 1/2 cup water. Add any flavours you like to this: currants, sultanas, berries, grated apple, jam, nuts, allspice, salt, coconut etc.

Ingredients
1/4 cup of oats
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 banana
1 tbsp LSA or other nuts or seeds to your liking
1 tsp coconut oil (if you are eating oil)
(optional garnish) a handful of frozen raspberries
(optional garnish) 1 tbsp shredded coconut

Method
Allow oats and water to soak overnight if you have been organised
Combine all ingredients, aside from garnishes, in small saucepan
Place saucepan over low heat and stir
Allow porridge to very gently heat, stirring occasionally until it is smooth and creamy
Use a fork to mash banana through the porridge
Sprinkle with optional raspberries and stir through.
Sprinkle with shredded coconut if desired.
